Gearcity For Mac

You can find an extremely old and outdated manual for v1.12 here: Any new documentation is on our wiki, although there is nothing for general consumers yet: Some data will come in time.If you switch to Testing Build, an additional 5 tutorials have been added to the game. And another 8-12 tutorials will be added for v1.25 RC2 and RC3.
Jump to OSX - OSX. Follow same steps as Windows and Linux. When you reach the end of the steps continue with: Right-Click the “GearCity.app” (Might.
(Note, in 1.25 RC1, there is a slight bug that causes only one of the supplemental tutorials to run per game succession. You have to exit the game and return to the game to run the other tutorials.
This has been fixed in v1.25 RC2.)I have forgone writing tutorials and documentation until the game is finished because it is extremely time consuming and the game frequently changes. Now that the game is nearing completion, I have started implementing additional in-game tutorials. You can find them in Testing Build. I will work on the manual in the time period between v1.25 release and full release. Since there isn't much I can do other than fix bugs while I wait for translations to be complete. If you have any questions about gameplay, feel free to ask. I answer most forum posts (Steam and official forums) within a few hours.
Reddit I am a little slower on, because I don't get notification of new threads on this sub. I do have two questions. How does shipping distance work? For example, If I have a factory in pittsburg, if I extend the shipping distance, I can sell in Chicago and New York?Shipping distance is the distance in which a branch will source vehicles from. It is used to limit transportation costs. So, using your example.
If you have a Factory in Pittsburg, and the branch in New York. If the shipping distance is set to 1000 miles, the branch in New York will ship vehicles from Pittsburgh. Now Let's say you had a branch in London.
If the shipping distance is set to 1000 miles, you will not get vehicles from the Pittsburgh factory. Because Pittsburgh is further than 1000 Miles. If you click the help buttons inside the game, they should explain all of this to you. Any where you see a small button with a question mark. Those contain information and tips.if I extend the shipping distance, I can sell in Chicago and New York?Branches serve dealerships. And dealerships are owned by third party companies.
In the game, we do not concern our selves with the location of these dealerships. Only the location of the branch. I generally use this as an example of what it looks like in real life. Each star is a Ford dealership, the center point of the lines are the branch distribution center for those dealerships:And the other one, how does the benefits system works? I turned it on, but the union accepted a deal where I gave my workers benefits of $0.Benefits are extra payments to employees beyond their normal wages. This could include pensions, health insurance, 401K's, profit sharing, etc. In the game we break benefits down into two categories, regular benefits and defined benefits.Regular Benefits are benefits that are paid out every month.
Such as Health Insurance and 401k's. Defined benefits are namely pensions. You and the employees pay into a pool of funds. Over time those funds grow or shrink with the general stock market. When an employee retires, he draws a pension from the funds. Any shortfall in funding comes from your own company.Employee Benefits are generally not a large concern for unions in the early 20th century. As time progresses, unions become more aggressive in trying to get more benefits for their members.
Also as other companies start paying out better, it increases the union's desire to get more out of you. So yes, early in the game you are likely to get 0% benefits, especially when the Unions are just trying to get increased wages.Don't expect this to last long though. All translations in the game are community generated. If you're interested in helping out, you can do so here:You need to be on Testing Build, and do all the translations on the webpage in order for the data to be in the next update. You can also access the translation page by clicking 'Help' in game, then 'Translate'.Paid translations won't happen until the game text is 100% finished. At which point, I will move a percentage of the net profits to supplement the community translations. So any help there is greatly appreciated. Symantec for mac os x.
